Welcome to the Splash Pals family!

Hello and thank you for your interest in joining your local Splash Pals chapter, a powerful and rewarding way to gain an exceptional hands-on experience making an impact in the lives of others, as well as your own!

My name is Jenna Goldsmith and I am one of the Founders and the Director of Operations for Splash Pals, Inc., the company that created and helps manage the Splash Pals Adapted Aquatics program. I will also be your enrollment specialist as you get started on your adventure into Splash Pals!Here is a little additional information about the Splash Pals Adapted Aquatics program, as well as an enrollment packet that will need to be completed before you can begin. Once your packet is returned to us, you will be contacted by your chapter’s leaders to invite you out for your first pool session. It’s going to be a blast, so come on... let’s “DIVE” in!

Additional Splash Pals Information:

Splash Pals Adapted Aquatics is a therapeutic swimming and aquatic recreation program for children with disabilities and pre-professional collegiate students. Every week, our Splash Pals chapter affiliates host a pool session that partners their student members in small groups with children with disabilities, where they engage in things like swimming, exercise, social interaction, and play!

As a new student member, you will be partnered in a small group with a veteran student and will have the opportunity to engage with the children while learning about various disabilities. Typically, the children have disabilities like autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, attention deficit disorder, traumatic brain injury, genetic disorders, amputations, and many others. As a student member, you will also have the opportunity to network with other like-minded students and any professionals like physicians, therapists, special needs specialists, and others that your chapter brings in for aided instruction. You will also have the opportunity to log your time spent engaging in your chapter’s events as volunteer hours with your university. P.S. – we strongly encourage logging your hours with your university as most offer special recognition at graduation and even awards for student volunteerism!

What To Do Next:

Attached you will find the Student Member Enrollment Packet. This packet includes information about you that we will need from you, in order to get you out to your chapter’s pool sessions.

We are currently working on an electronic system, but for now, the best way to complete the packet is to print it out, fill in the information, and then scan it or use your phone to text us a photo of the filled in pages. You must fill out the packet completely and sign and date the bottom of every page. Also, every page will need to be texted to us, including the cover pages. Please make sure your photos are clear and easily readable. You may send the scanned images or photos to us via email at SplashPals@gmail.com, or text your photos to 561-419-6709.
